Moldova to commemorate those who died at work

The legislative body will debate a bill whereby April 28 is instituted as day of commemoration for the persons who died at the workplace. Corina Fusu, deputy head of the commission for culture, education, research, youth, sport and mass media, said the bill was submitted by the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to Corina Fusu, initially the Ministry proposed instituting the day of commemoration for salary-earners who were injured or died at work. “Afterward, the Labor Ministry suggested that the day be named the Day of Security and Health at Work. This name is more EU-compliant and has a more positive connotation,” Fusu stated. The members of the commission adopted the bill unanimously.
