Moldovan athletes begin European Athletics Indoor Championships
Moldovan athletes began unimpressively the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Paris, France. On Sunday, Alexandru Cuharenco failed to reach the final in long jump competition.
With a result of 7 meters 13 centimeters, Cuharenco finished 29th out of 30 participants, Info-Prim Neo reports. Only the top 8 will fight for medals.
Vladimir Letnicov will be Moldova’s second representative at the Championship. He will participate in triple jump and needs a result of at least 16 meters and 95 centimeters to reach the final.
At the Outdoor Championship in 2010, Letnicov ranked 12th.
