Moldovan Cup final won’t take place in Chisinau

For the first in its history, the Moldovan Cup final will take place in Orhei, as decided by the Executive Committee of the Moldovan Football Federation, Info-Prim Neo reports. Since 1992, the final had been played in Chisinau on the former National Stadium and on Zimbru Stadium since 2007. However, this year, the latter arena’s management asked for an excessive fee and FMF chose the Orhei Sports Complex. In 2011, the arena was approved by UEFA. The finalists will be known on May 14, when Milsami Ursidos Orhei take on Dacia Chisinau and CSCA Rapid Ghidighici clash Sheriff Tiraspol in the semis. The final is scheduled on May 27. Sheriff is the most successful side in the competition, with 7 trophies.
