The team of soldiers of the 22 Peacekeeping Battalion "Blue Helmets" took first place in the "Best Warrior Competition". The competition is organized annually by the National Guard in North Carolina, US, IPN reports.
"For five days, the participants competed in various events, including physical training, night and day firing from different weapon systems, field orientation, forced march, medical training, swimming trials, as well as running an obstacle course", a Defense Ministry statement said.
The Moldovan servicemen competed against six teams from the US military.
Peacekeepers from the 22 Peacekeeping Battalion are taking part in the "Best Warrior Competition" event for the second consecutive year. Last year, they came second.
