Moldovan students who got stuck in Romania accommodated at pension

As many as 44 students from Moldova, who were returning from a trip made to Bulgaria and got stuck in snowdrifts in Romania, were accommodated at a pension in Voluntari town of Ilfov county. The local authorities of Afumati commune took the students and teachers from the blocked bus in the evening of January 26.

Contacted by IPN, chief of the local police in Voluntari Dan Rasica said the Moldovan students and teachers were taken to a pension in Voluntari. The thrown authorities also offered them 100 liters of diesel fuel. But the roads in Buzau and Sinaia regions remain impassable and the group will stay in Romania until they are able to continue their road to Moldova.

Dan Rasica added that the visas of the students and teachers expired, but the authorities will make sure that they cross the border without problems, through the Albita customs post.

According to the Romanian press, one more bus with Moldovan citizens got stuck on a national road owing to the heavy snow. The passengers were accommodated at a hotel.
