Moldovan suspected of raping girl in Russia
A citizen of Moldova was arrested in Russia on suspicion that he raped and robbed a young woman in Kolpino town that is located in the suburbs of Saint Petersburg, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Russian press.
The 23-year-old woman was attacked in the street on the night of October 3. The aggressor threatened her with a knife, took her jewels and the mobile phone and then raped her.
According to the press reports, this is the second case of the kind that happened in Saint Petersburg this month. On October 10, two Uzbek citizens of 24 and 28 raped and robbed a woman aged 25.
Legal cases were opened in both of the cases. The rape in Russia is punished with up to 15 years in jail.
