Moldovans among Prague's most numerous illegal workers
People from Moldova, Vietnam and Ukraine are the most numerous illegal workers in the Czech capital, Prague, according to the online publication of the Prague Daily Monitor, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Czech customs officers revealed that 709 foreigners, or nearly half of those checked in Prague, were employed without a valid work permit in 2010. The highest numbers of foreigner without a proper permit were employed by construction firms, restaurants, hotels and shops.
In total, 1729 non-EU foreigners employed by 316 firms were checked last year.
