More than 65% of the citizens consider that the reforms implemented in Moldova are not efficient and only 15% approve of them, shows a study by the Association of Sociologists and Demographers that covered a sample of 1,192 respondents from 79 settlements.
The Moldovans consider that the state policies and reforms implemented in the country would satisfy the needs of the majority of people if they were really carried out, not formally only. The respondents also said that the reforms must serve the people’s interests, not personal interests, IPN reports.
According to the poll, 1/4 of those questioned believe the reforms should be implemented in accordance with the European standards, while 19% consider they should meet the Russian standards.
The best-known reforms are those that refer to the depoliticization of the Ministry of the Interior, the establishment of the General Police Inspectorate and the liquidation of the border guard troops, the creation of district schools and the testing of the integrity of candidates for the posts of judge and prosecutor.
The sociological survey has a merging of sampling error of +/– 2.8%.
