Moldova’s expert AlinaBrasoveanu was elected as first vice president of the Council of Europe Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings(GRETA),becoming thus a member of the body’s executive board, IPN reports.
According to a press release from the Foreign Ministry, the election of the Moldovan expert as first vice president of the GRETA represents an additional proof of the country’s contribution to the Council of Europe’s joint actions aimed at combating human trafficking.
GRETA is a multidisciplinary group of 15 independent experts tasked with monitoring the implementation of the Council of Europe Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings in the 39 States which are currently parties to this Convention.
