Moldova's national rugby team braces up before important game
Moldova's national rugby team will be fighting for victory when it will host Poland in the last game this season in the European Nations Cup's Group 1B on Saturday, November 12, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“This is a very important game for us. We have fairly good odds of winning this group”, said Rugby Federation president Vasile Revenco.
“We are in fighting trim. We are maximally motivated and we want to cheer our fans with a victory in the last game this season”, said Vadim Cobilas, the leader of the national team and a player for the English club Sale Sharks.
The squad will be short of experienced players like captain Veaceslav Titica, Alexandru Matveev, Maxim Gargalic and Alexandru Colt due to injuries.
Moldova and Poland currently share the 2nd and 3rd places in Group 1B with 18 points each. Belgium is at the top with 23 points.
The game will be played on Dinamo Stadium in Chisinau, starting at 13:00.
