Monograph about sculptor Alexandru Plamadeala ends art collection “Basarabian Masters of XX century''

One of the most important monographs about sculptor Alexandru Plamadeala, in the opinion of Chisinau art critics, was launched Friday in the commemorative exhibition dedicated to the artist. The work is authored by art critic Tudor Braga, Info-Prim Neo reports. The author says he's got the idea in 1987. There have been not so many enthusiasts willing to support it, that is why the monograph appeared so late. According to critic and publisher Eugen Lungu, Tudor Braga's merit is to have searched the archive, to have re-construed certain aspects, to lay certain stresses so as to make a work to really be a success. Tudor Stavila, a doctor in studying arts, has said this is a superb collection both in design, and content, being the best to have been written up to now in Chisinau and in Bucharest. The album Alexandru Plamadeala ends the fine art collection “Basarabian Masters of XX century'', being the 14th and the last subject of the project financed by the Soros Foundation-Moldova and realized in cooperation with the Chisinau publishing house ARC.
