More flexibility in obtaining higher education

The Ministry of Education proposed a draft distance learning strategy in the higher education system of Moldova for public debates, IPN reports.

An informative note accompanying the draft strategy says distance learning represents a special attraction for the people able to work, being designed and adjusted to meet the professional, social and educational needs of the labor market. The giving of an electronic form to the education content makes it accessible to anyone, anywhere and anytime. Distance learning does not impose constraints of time, space and pace of studies and creates opportunities for professional formation throughout life.

The draft strategy contains data typical of this form of education and the implementation mechanisms. There will be worked out the normative-legal and organizational framework and specified the informational and other types of resources used to ensure distance learning. The necessary money will be allocated from the budget, tuition fees and from the unemployment fund as well as from money provided within international projects, donations and sponsorships.
