Moscow accident left eight children without fathers
The Moldovans who were killed in a traffic accident near Moscow left grieving relatives and eight children. The coffins with the bodies of the four men will arrive today in Chistelnita village of Telenesti district, from where the victims were.
Mayor of the village Constantin Ciobanu has told Info-Prim Neo that the youngest of the four - Leonid Marandici – is only 20. He died in the hospital one day after the accident.
The other three men, aged between 24 and 40, died at the place of the accident. Iurie Hacu left four children, Ion Matu – three children, while Vasile Furculita had a kid and his wife is expecting the second child.
According to the mayor, the four men were repairing a road. They bought tickets to go home and were going to a shopping center to make purchases when the tragedy happened.
As relatives of the four men said, there were two more young persons with them, but they were going behind and escaped death. They also said that the men were crossing the street legally. Earlier, the Russian police announced that the victims were jaywalking.
The accident occurred on the night of September 19 on a highway connecting Moscow and Domodedovo airport. The Russian press reported that the Moldovans were struck by a Toyota Land Сruiser. No details about the driver have been made public.
