The lives of a pregnant mother and her baby were saved in an emergency operation at the Municipal Hospital no.1 on Friday, Info-Prim Neo reports. Chisinau Emergency Service spokesperson Anatol Proca said the 28-year-old woman, resident of the suburban village of Ciorescu, had suffered abundant bleeding that threatened her life as well as the fetus. The woman was rushed with a reanimation ambulance to the Perinatal Center of the Municipal Hospital no.1 where she underwent emergency surgery. The operating doctors said that any minute of delay would have killed both the mother and the baby. The bleeding was caused by the total detachment of the placenta. The child was born at a weight of 2 kilograms.
