Three more types of civil status documents can be obtained through QIWI terminals. These are the multilingual birth, death and marriage extracts. The price of the service remained unchanged. Only a charge of 10 lei is paid additionally for the terminal, IPN reports.
Presenting the new possibilities of obtaining documents, Civil Status Service director Lucia Ciobanu said the people earlier had to go to the service’s local offices, but now they will be able to submit an application through any QIWI terminal whose screen includes the logo of the Civil Status Service. The applicants will indicate the day, date and year of birth, the name, surname and the personal code as well as where they want to receive the document and will pay for it. The service costs 250 lei if the document is issued in 5 days, 150 lei for 15 days, and 50 lei for 30 days.
“The challenges faced by the Civil Status Service are caused by the current requirements, including international, and the people’s needs to have easier access to public services,” stated Lucia Ciobanu.
Attending the event, Minister of Justice Oleg Efrim said that more electronic services will be launched by the end of this year, both at the Civil Status Service and at other subdivisions of the Ministry of Justice.
About 30-40 multilingual birth, death and marriage extracts are asked for daily. An electronic duplicate certificates service will be launched by this yearend.
The E-civil status service was put into operation in February with a view to providing accessible, transparent, fast and efficient public services. The people are able to apply for civil status certificates and certificates concerning the non-change of the name and/or surname through QIWI terminals.
