The persons who suffered fractures after they slipped and fell on ice will receive compensations. Mayor General of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca said the sums should vary between 2,000 and 10,000 lei, depending on the gravity of the trauma, Info-Prim Neo reports. The approaches will be made to the district head’s offices. “Every person must write a statement to receive financial assistance, not an application. There is enough bureaucracy,” Dorin Chirtoaca said in the January 21 meeting of Chisinau City Hall officials. Health Division head Luminita Suveica said that the list includes 407 persons. Thirty-seven persons suffered serious injuries, 191 – medium injuries, while 179 – light injuries. The money needed to provide compensations may be allocated from the reserve fund. The mayor proposed that the persons with medium and light injuries should be paid compensations of 2,000-3,000 lei, while those with serious injuries – of up to 10,000 lei.
