The Government of Italy offered the National Army a lot of military equipment. The donation contract was signed in an event held at the Ministry of Defense on January 23. The event involved Italy’s Ambassador to Moldova Valeria Biagiotti and Italian Military Attaché, Colonel Andrea Tiveron, IPN reports, with reference to the Ministry of Defense.

Valeria Biagiotti said that Italy is ready to continue intensifying the bilateral cooperation in the military sector by identifying new projects beneficial to the two defense institutions.

Minister of Defense Eugeniu Sturza thanked the Italian side for the logistic assistance, specifying that this will contribute to improving the work conditions of Moldovan service members and to the enhanced equipment of the National Army.
