National Philharmonic, US Embassy give free Christmas concert

The National Philharmonic, in partnership with the United States Embassy, is inviting music lovers to a Christmas concert on December 26 featuring American and European works, IPN reports.

The program includes George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue for piano and orchestra and Louis Moreau Gottschalk's Tarantella for piano and orchestra, both featuring the young American pianist Thomas Pandolfi.

The audience will be also treated to works by Leroy Anderson, Johann Strauss, Franz von Suppé and Georges Bizet, performed by the Tiraspol Symphonic Orhestra and featuring Anastasia Cusnir as soloist and Grigori Moseiko as conductor.

The concert will begin at 18:00 and admission is free.
