The Government approved the regulations concerning the organization and functioning of the National Agency of Social Assistance that will be responsible for the optimization and enhancement of the social protection system of Moldova, IPN reports.
In its work, the Agency will coordinate and monitor the quality of social assistance services provided to people, will examine the received applications and complaints and will strengthen the professional capacities of the personnel working in the field.
The Agency will have 19 employees who will be chosen from among the staff of the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family.
Among the duties of the new body will be to work out the methodological framework for the unitary implementation of the legislation on social assistance and to manage the work of the social assistance and rehabilitation institutions founded by the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family.
