The traffic regulation agents will not be allowed to have upon them, or in their service vehicle, more than 100 lei. Additionally, they will not be allowed to talk on their phones in purposes other than work-related. The restrictions are stipulated in a new order that was signed by Traffic Police Chief Serghei Diaconu, and published on the Traffic Police Department website, reports Info-Prim Neo. The traffic police staff is also not allowed to drink alcoholic beverages, smoke, eat or chew gum outside of their schedule breaks, which must happen outside their patrol post. Traffic regulation agents will not be allowed to stop moving vehicles, unless the respective drivers have violated the Traffic Regulation Code. Likewise, the agents will not be allowed to retain the vehicles they had stopped, for more than 3 minutes, unless they need to record the violation, and not more than 15 minutes if the agents need to issue a fine ticket. Additionally, agents will not be permitted to discuss with the stopped traffic violators on topics other than those related to the violation.
