Rodica Scutelnic was named secretary of state at the Ministry of Health by a Cabinet decision on October 12. She is a doctor by profession, but worked for different public authorities during 12 years. She also held the post of adviser at the State Chancellery, IPN reports.

In the same meeting, the Cabinet dismissed Ion Terguta from the post of director of the branch in Moldova of the interstate television company Mir. This was replaced by Valeriu Renita.
