Moldova's National Platform for the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum asked publishing the full report by Kroll company on the situation at Banca de Economii, Banca Sociala and Unibank and taking legal action in this case, IPN reports.
The Platform’s NGOs also demanded publishing the contract signed by the National Bank of Moldova and Kroll or at least sides’ obligations, the implementation conditions and terms in case of impossibility of commercial secret.
They requested that the EU institutions should be asked to create an investigation mission consisting of European prosecutors and that the managers of Banca de Economii, Banca Sociala and Unibank and of the state institutions responsible for monitoring the financial market should be held accountable. They consider a package of measures should be worked out for strengthening the banking system.
The Platform’s statement was signed by 42 organizations, including the Agency for Cross-Border Cooperation and European Integration, the Alliance of Active NGOs in Social Protection of Child and Family, the Women’s Association for the Environment Protection and Sustainable Development, the Association of Professional and Business Women of Moldova, the Small Business Association of Moldova, etc.
