The Cabinet on December 3 approved the decision concerning the nonworking days next year. January 2 and January 9 (Fridays) will be nonworking days for budget-funded employees, while January 17 and January 31 (Saturdays) will be working days. Also, August 22 will be a leisure day, but August 28 will be a working day instead, IPN reports.
This year, the budget-funded employees will work on December 20 instead of December 26, which was declared a nonworking day after Christmas observed according to the new calendar. The Christmas Day of December 25 was instituted as a bank holiday in 2013, by amending the decision regarding commemorative days, bank holidays and nonworking days in Moldova.
Thus, the budget-funded employees will have a mini-vacation between December 25 and 28.
