One in four BestJob.md users ready to quit job if wage is cut
Roughly 40 percent of the users of the job search site BestJobs.md said in a poll they are ready to quit their jobs in the event of a wage cut, despite choosing 'job security' as the top priority in the context of the economic slowdown, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Similar polls conducted by sister sites in Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia reveal that 54.4 percent of the Romanians, 56 percent of the Serbians, and 58 percent of the Bulgarians would better become unemployed than accept a wage cut.
The poll was conducted in the period January 22-28, 2009. BestJobs' databases host over 1 million active employment applications.
