Over 1,000 end-users with debts sued
The Chisinau heat supplier in December 2012 – January 2013, in cooperation with the housing stock managers, continued the take steps to collect the debts for heat, filing more than 1,000 lawsuits. According to a communiqué from SA Termocom, the debts claimed in court in the period totaled 17.8 million lei, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In 126 cases, the courts already passed decisions, authorizing the collecting of debts of 1.1 million lei. The company’s administration said that, together with the housing stock managers, they applied the simplified procedure for levying the debts – filing of applications asking issuing court orders to collect the debts. As many as 118 such applications have been already submitted. The courts made 18 orders to collect the debts for the consumed heat. A number of similar applications are being processed and will be soon sent to court.
Based on court decisions, there were sequestrated 879 apartments and 75 vehicles, while access to 770 bank cards was restricted. The supplier stresses that fulfilling their financial obligations, the end-users will avoid being sued and remaining without property.
