Parliament appoints three Supreme Court justices

Parliament today appointed three justices to serve in the Supreme Court until they reach the age limit of 65 years. Also today, a Supreme Court justice was discharged from office, IPN reports.

The newly appointed justices are Ion Guzun, previously judge at the Buiucani District Court and at the Bender Court of Appeals; Dumitru Mardari, formerly judge at the Ciocana District Court; and Oleg Sternioala, who since 2008 has headed the Buiucani District Court.

The relieved justice is Andrei Harghel, who can no longer serve after reaching the age limit.
