The legislative body starts the Parliamentary Openness Week. Next week Parliament will stage a varied program of activities. Young people and grownups from different regions of the country, including the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia, and Ukrainian refugees will be able to take part in information visits and guided tours of Parliament, IPN reports.
The MPs will discuss with visitors and will present their offices. Access to the Parliament Building will be bed on identity cards. Visits can be scheduled through the Parliament’s website.
On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, epoch machines used in the past to transport high-ranking officials will be exhibited in the Parliament square. The visitors will be able to see an exhibition of photographs entitled “Partnership and solidarity between generations”. Films made by the studio “Telefilm-Chișinău” will be screened on each of the three evenings in the Parliament square staring at 7pm.
In the afternoon of September 20, MP Marcela Nistor will moderate a role-play for young people on issues related to participatory democracy. On September 21, there will be staged a painting workshop entitled “Colors of Peace” on the occasion of the International Day of Peace, involving plastic artist Valeria Barbas. Children from the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine will be invited to represent peace on canvas and on asphalt.
The Parliamentary Openness Week is held annually in September in connection with the International Day of Democracy that was instituted by the UN on September 15, 2007.
