A woman aged 56 was hit violently by a car at the intersection of the Chisinau streets 31 august and Vasile Alecsandri at about 2pm on November 3. She sustained fatal injuries and died shortly afterward.

Contacted by IPN, press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Natalia Stati said the woman was jaywalking. She was struck by a Mazda car driven by an 83-year-old man. The driver will serve three to seven years in jail if he is found guilty.
