In Briceni district, people affected by recent storms are urged to report damages to the local authorities and to apply for aid. Contacted by IPN, Briceni Council Secretary Ivan Toderico said the requests can be submitted both at the respective village hall and at the district council.

According to Ivan Toderico, trees were downed in the village of Cotiujeni, damaging power and telecommunication lines. Also, roofs on about 150 structures, including houses and outbuildings, were partially affected.

The roof and fence of the communal school were damaged in Larga. The culture hall was also partially affected.

In Medveja village, the wind has snatched 300 square feet of metal sheets from the roof of the village hall. The hail affected several fields and orchards.

In Tabani village, strong wind tore the roof of two houses. In Colicuţi, the roofs of the school and the culture hall were partially damaged.

Local Committees for exceptional situations continue to assess the damages.
