The police on April 16 reported a number of cases of violation of the rules for preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus. The people formed lines at shops and crowed also other public places, Prime Minister Ion Chicu was quoted by IPN as saying after the meeting of the Single Command Center.
The official noted the ignoring of these rules now, before the Easter holidays, can have serious consequences later.
Premier Chicu said the spread of the novel coronavirus slowed down the past 11-12 days and the efforts made by the authorities and responsible people during a month and a half can be useless if the restrictions are not respected in this critical period.
He called on the citizens not to risk their lives and the lives of those around in the process of preparing for Easter, noting the police will take attitude and will fine those who violate the infection prevention measures.
