The national legislation on the protection of the personal data must be adjusted to the European legislation, while the National Personal Data Protection Center should bear responsibility for the violation of the legislation on data protection. The proposals were made at the first meeting of the Consultative Council working under the National Personal Data Protection Center, Info-Prim Neo reports. Another proposal submitted by the members of the Consultative Council was to identify possibilities for creating the automated register of personal data holders. As there is not enough money in the state budget for 2010, the National Personal Data Protection Center pleaded for keeping the register manually. Another recommendation was to broadly report on the Center's work and inform the population about the rights of the personal data holders.
