Moldova's accession to the European Union is an important step not only for the country's development, but also for Europe's security. The message was delivered by Prime Minister Dorin Recean at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, where he took part in a panel dedicated to the current geopolitical challenges, IPN reports.
The head of the Moldovan government stressed that the Republic of Moldova is maintaining its European course, with the goal of becoming a member state of the European Union by 2030. According to him, the support of European partners is essential at a time when the country is facing hybrid pressures and attempts at internal destabilization.
"The Republic of Moldova resists. We are a frontline democracy defending European values. Supporting Moldova means strengthening the security of the entire continent", Prime Minister Dorin Recean told political leaders and experts attending the forum.
In his speech, the Prime Minister also spoke about the difficult economic context, cyber-attacks and attempts to divide society.
At the same time, Dorin Recean emphasized that Moldova remains a peaceful state, open to international cooperation and attracting foreign investment.
The fourth edition of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum takes place from April 11-13 and brings together political leaders, ministers and experts from several countries to address the main issues on the regional and international agenda.
