A former convict aged 33 from Leova district was arrested on suspicion that he robbed at least 10 women in the street. The stolen goods were sold immediately, IPN reports.

According to the Chisinau Police Division, the man admitted that he committed the thefts. He usually attacked unaccompanied women in the evening. The police found several mobile phones, a tablet PC and a laptop at the man’s home.

The suspect was remanded in custody and is investigated for theft. He faces five to seven years in jail.
