The electric scooter rental service could be banned if the administrators do not ensure compliance with the Road Traffic Regulations, the head of the General Police Inspectorate (GPI) Viorel Cernăuțeanu stated in the talk show “Resumé” on RliveTV.

The economic agents responsible for electric scooters in the city must adjust their operating activities. According to the chief of the GPI, it goes mainly to the adjustment of the speed of these scooters, IPN reports.

"We had a number of joint meetings with those who manage these scooter parks. There are a series of such economic agents. They do not know exactly to whom these scooters are transmitted and who uses them in traffic," said Cernăuțeanu.

Scooters are a means of transport and must circulate according to the Road Traffic Regulations. "Those who drive them bear responsibility just like other drivers do," stressed Viorel Cernăuțeanu.

If the administrators do not take measures to adjust the travel speed, the scooters will be confiscated. "If we do not see an improvement and an adjustment to the requests formulated by the National Public Security Inspectorate towards these economic agents, we will start to pick tup he scooters and will not allow them to enter traffic," noted the head of the GPI.
