An employee of the Ministry of Interior fatally shot his wife, and committed suicide afterward. The double tragedy happened on Friday, October 12, in Vasieni village, Ialoveni district, at the local medical center, where the woman used to work, the MoI reported. The man came to the healthcare center, entered his wife's office, and shot the woman twice, in front of the colleagues, wounding her in the abdomen, after which he shot himself in the head. The man's motive to this act is unknown as of yet. The police restricted access to the hospital. The MoI press center did not specify whether the gun that the policeman used was the one he got from the force, and did not disclose the policeman's division. According to the villagers, the two had a minor child together.
