The Polish War Films Festival will be held in Chisinau for the first time, hosted by the Odeon Cultural Center. The event is organized in cooperation with the Embassy of Poland and is held on the occasion of 70 years of the start of the Second World War.
Lidia Troianowski, manager of the Odeon Cultural Center, has told Info-Prim Neo that there will be presented films produced by the best Polish filmmakers that were awarded at prestigious film festivals. The program includes movies made starting with the 1960s up to 2000. The festival will begin on September 11, at 18.00, and continue until September 17. Entrance is free of charge.
The Polish War Films Festival will be preceded by an exhibition titled “From War to Victory 1939-1989”, which will be opened at the National Museum of Archeology and History of Moldova on September 10, at 18.00.
The exhibition focuses on the consequences of the Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact and Germany|s and the Soviet Union|s attack on Poland, the Polish battles during the the Second World War and the removal of the totalitarian regime in Poland.
The exhibit will be open until September 24.
