The company “Posta Moldovei” (“Moldova’s Post Office”) informs that the volume of postal packages in the period of the winter holidays increases essentially. Therefore, the terms for processing, sending and delivering mail cannot be obeyed, Info-Prim Neo reports. Starting with November 2012, the packages sent by the postal administrations of the UK, China, Hong Kong, the U.S., France, and the Czech Republic to Moldova come with great delay. According to a communiqué from “Posta Moldovei”, the company is taking all the measures needed to reduce the terms for dealing with the mail that arrived. For this purpose, the number of employees was doubled and the personnel will work in three shifts. The Customs Service was asked to increase the number of customs inspectors so as to minimize the clearance terms for mail. Furthermore, the Mail Processing and Delivering Center will work during nonworking days.
