Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița got infected with COVID-19. She announced herself about this through a post on Facebook, IPN reports.
Natalia Gavrilița wrote that she did a PCR test and this was positive. She will continue work remotely, from home.
“Take care of your health and the health of the dear ones,” the Premier urged the citizens.
The Ministry of Health for February 1 reported 4,348 new cases of COVID-19, which is almost twice more than on January 31. Twenty-four deaths from COVID-19 were confirmed on February 1. Among the victims was a 39-year-old woman from Rezina district who suffered from an autoimmune disease.
Out of the 3,290 persons confirmed with COVID-19 who are now in the hospital, 241 are in an extremely serious state and 35 patients of them were put on a ventilator.
