Prime Minister Iurie Leanca has instructed the Water Resources Agency to inventory the projects for the rehabilitation of dams on the rivers Nistru and Prut, reporting their progress, funding organizations and investment efficiency levels.

“I was in Puhaceni (village in Anenii Noi district) this week to observe the progress of a 15 million lei project to rehabilitate a dam on the Nistru. Half of the amount has already been used, but people still do not see any difference”, said Iurie Leanca.

In other respect, the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Environment to check how quarrying and mining enterprises are complying with the license terms.In particular, he said he received reports that the heavy duty trucks used by these businesses often violate traffic standards on national and local roads.
