The residents threaten to protests if no measures are taken. People are afraid that there may be toxic substances, since construction waste is also dropped there. The residents believe that those who manage the landfill set it on fire intentionally in order to get rid of the waste, without taking the consequences into account. However, the Housing and Public Amenities Division says that the fires at the landfill are the result of spontaneous combustion.
