The Embassy of Germany in Chisinau will celebrate 25 years of the country’s reunification by presenting a large puzzle in the form of the map of Germany on October 6. Twenty-eight partners of the project from Moldova will design the puzzle pieces. These will present the Moldovan-German relations on the puzzle pieces in an artistic way, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the Embassy.

The large ‘puzzle of Germany’ emphasizes the fact that the German unity is a historical community achievement and a common effort of the states that became friends. The event “Together for unity”, which involves 34 German embassies from all over the world, reminds about the then diplomatic hour. The key element of this event is the portal www.zusammen-zur-einheit.de that includes interactive elements, a virtual countdown and a live blog that will inform about the festivities from all over the world.

Germany had been divided for over 40 years, until it was reunified on October 3, 1990.
