Reform at TRM will bring not only structure, but also mentality changes, statement

The reform at Teleradio-Moldova Company (TRM) is complex. We cannot speak only about structure changes as there will be also mentality changes, said the institution’s head Constantin Marin quoted by Info-Prim Neo. In a press statement, the institution’s head said that an essential change has taken pace at the company over the last two years and a half. Emphasis was lad on the equidistant, impartial and pluralistic approach, while the editorial independence and the freedom of expression were the strong points of the restructuring. Acting head of the public TV channel Moldova 1 Efim Josanu said that he assumes responsibility for the changes that will follow the reform. “Every day we discuss with the subdivision heads to see what opinion they have and how they consider the reform should take place,” he stated. Radio Moldova director Alexandru Dorogan said that such values as editorial independence, team spirit and creativity have been constantly and consistently promoted during the last two years. “I can firmly say that any change was discussed with the employees. The business plan is now drafted in a different way. Every employee presents their own views. I think this is right,” he stated. The chairman of the Supervisory Board of TRM Eugeniu Rybka said that the reform at Radio Moldova has been 99% fulfilled. He expressed his regret at the fact that they now speak more about salaries and less about the obligations of the employees. According to the administration, TRM is an important element of the media landscape of Moldova and the reform of the company will continue despite the objective difficulties and artificial impediments.
