The epidemiological situation and the epidemiological parameters determining it will be the main criterion when considering the reopening of kindergartens. “I mean the total number of recorded infections, the number of serious cases and of cases of death, the incidence, mortality and fatality indicators,” said the director of the National Public Health Agency Nicolae Furtună.

The official told a news conference that the competent national authority, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, in cooperation with the local public authorities, as founders of these units, will take a final decision as to the reopening of the early education institutions only after the all the kindergartens are properly outfitted for functioning as to exclude the risk of turning them into sources of infection.

“I refer to such aspects as triage, temperature measuring, provision of the personnel with masks, gloves, biocides and other strictly necessary measures for appropriate functioning. The admission of children according to priorities is the Ministry of Education’s task,” stated Nicolae Furtună, being quoted by IPN.
