The Legal Information Center managed by the Ministry of Justice is reorganized into the Agency of Information and Legal Systems. Secretary general of state at the Ministry of Justice Anatolie Munteanu said the newly created institution will have the task of developing the integrated legal information system and of administering the interoperability of information systems in the justice sector, IPN reports.
The Agency will also apply the apostille, will legalize official documents and will provide information services. It will keep a register of professions related to the legal system and the services provided by these.
The most important duties of the Agency of Information and Legal Systems will be to monitor and systematize laws, ordinances, Government decisions, presidential decrees and other documents, to develop and update the state register of legal acts at www.lexjustice.md and www.legis.md, where the citizens can access the current normative framework, and to keep the register of testaments, the integrated information systems e-procura and e-legislatie and the register of apostilles.
In the context of the optimization measures, the State Archive Service will be transferred under the management of the Ministry of Justice and the duty to provide notarial archive services will be transferred to this Service, stated Anatolie Munteanu.
