The social reforms promoted by the Government and the actions needed to ensure a better protection of employees were the main subjects discussed by Prime Minister Pavel Filip in a meeting with representatives of the National Confederation of Trade Unions of Moldova, IPN reports, with reference to the Government’s press service.
The Premier said the executive continues to bank on an open dialogue with the trade unions. “I thank you for always finding the possibility of having discussions, no matter how difficult the situation was, and every time we found solutions to the existing problems,” stated Pavel Filip.
The Premier took stock of the main reforms done by the Government, including those to support the development of the business sector and increase investments, create well-paid jobs and ensure the social protection of citizens, the reforms in healthcare and education. He underlined that the taken measures were aimed at improving the living conditions of the people and at modernizing the country.
For his part, Oleg Budza, chairman of the National Confederation of Trade Unions of Moldova, reiterated the trade union’s support for the country’s European course and for the efforts aimed at improving the living standards.
The meeting also centered on such subjects as the importance of creating optimal conditions for the employment of young people and the necessity of motivating professionals to remain on the country. In this connection, Pavel Filip said the Government took a number of steps in this regard, enabling young families to purchase homes in advantageous conditions.
