It will include thematic maps, explanatory texts, graphs and images that will present the Republic of Moldova's developments in population, ecology, industry, history and other relevant areas.

The new edition, the first since independence, will support research, education, spatial planning and public decision-making. The Atlas will also promote national heritage and increase transparency and access to information.

"It is a very important tool for industry, business, trade, people, but also for the academic sector," said Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
