The general extraordinary assembly of shareholders of SA “Termocom” will be rerun on January 31. The assembly is to approve the merger between the heat supplier and the two Chisinau thermoelectric plants CET-1 and CET-2, IPN reports.

According to the information published on the company’s official website, the assembly will approve the document for transmitting the property of SA “Termocom” to the new enterprise that will be created as a result of the merger, the documents concerning the merger and the new enterprise’s status. The shareholders will also elect the administration bodies of SA “Termoelectrica”.

At the end of last December, the extraordinary general assemblies of the shareholders of SA CET-1 and SA CET-2 approved the creation of SA “Termoelectrica”. The reorganization of the thermoelectric system was initiated with the aim of attracting investments to the new company so as to diminish the losses and clear the debt of 2.5 billion lei owed by SA “Termocom” to its suppliers CET-1 and CET-2 and to the Russian natural gas supplier.
