Three puppet theaters of Romania will take part in the ninth edition International Puppet Theaters Festival “Under Guguta’s Hat” that will take place in Chisinau during May 22-29, IPN reports.
Supported by the Romanian Cultural Institute “Mihai Eminescu”, the theaters “Merlin” of Timisoara, “Tandarica” of Bucharest and “Aschiuta” of Pitesti will perform on the stage of the Municipal Puppet Theater “Guguta” in Chisinau.
“Merlin” will present the play “Youth without age and life without death” at 11am on May 22. “Tandarica” will put on the play “The fisherman and the enchanted fish” at 9:30am on May 25, while “Aschiuta” will stage “Snow White and the seven dwarfs” at 3pm on May 28.
This year’s International Puppet Theaters Festival “Under Guguta’s Hat” is an anniversary one and is dedicated to a number of events, like the 25th anniversary of the foundation of “Fuguta” Theater, the 50th anniversary of the creation of the hero “Fuguta”, the 85th anniversary of the birth of writer Spiridon Vangheli and the 70th anniversary of the birth of late actor Victor Stefaniuc.
As every time, the festival will bring together “Under Guguta’s Hat” theaters from a number of states, such as Romania, Bulgaria, France, Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Hungary, Germany, China, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, and Moldova.
