The tenth graders can apply for scholarships to study in private schools in the United States and the UK. The scholarships will be offered by a contest organized by the National League for Preuniversity Debates (LNDP) in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Info-Prim Neo reports. The contest is open to students that are proficient in English, had a general mark of over 8.50 for the ninth grade and have not stayed for over two months in a foreign country. The scholarship to study in the United States covers the study, accommodation and food expenses and the cost of the return plane ticket. The selected students will pay a tax of 1,000 USD and the cost of visa. The scholarship to study in the UK covers the study, accommodation and food expenses. The selected students will pay a tax of 600 pounds, the cost of visa and the transport expenses. Those interested can file applications at the office of LNDP by November 20, 2008, 17.00.
