Two sisters aged 9 and 14 from Ciobruciu village of Stefan Voda district died from poisoning by an unidentified substance. Head of the Health Ministry’s press service Veronica Istrati has told IPN that one of the girls died at home, while the other one in the district hospital, shortly after she was admitted to the reanimatology section.
The fist symptoms of poisoning appeared on Monday, but the parents didn’t take the girls to the hospital. The next day, the elder sister remained at home, complaining of stomachache. The other girl fell sick at school and was taken to the hospital by an ambulance. None of them could be saved.
The parents told the police that the girls didn’t suffer from a serious disease. One day earlier, the girls allegedly ate chocolate and apples from an orchard. A criminal case was started over this case.
